Kevin served for 28 years in the U.S. Army in the Ohio Army National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve, and on Active Duty. He entered active duty in 1992 as a Bradley Systems Repairer. Kevin received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant Military Police Officer from The Ohio State University ROTC in 2000 and retired in 2020. During his time in the military, he was assigned to locations and leadership positions throughout the U.S. as well as to Germany, Italy, and Korea. Kevin also deployed several times to Afghanistan, Iraq, Cuba, and Chad. His positions have included Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Observer-Controller/Trainer, Operations Advisor to the Iraqi National Police, commanded 2 separate Detachments, Provost Marshal for U.S. Army Africa, Director of Emergency Services, and Strategic Planner for the US Army Training and Doctrine Command. His military training and education include Primary Leadership Development Course (Commandant’s List), Military Police Officer Basic Course (Leadership Award), Military Police Officer Captains Career Course, Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor Course, Special Reaction Team & Marksmen/ Observer Course, Command & General Staff College, and Security Cooperation Management Course. Kevin’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal (with one Oak Leaf Cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal (with three Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (with three Oak Leaf Clusters), the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Combat Action Badge.
Since retiring from the military, Kevin has gained experience as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual and as a Financial Controls Analyst with McKesson. He accepted a position with Boeing in 2022 and currently works as a Program Manager where he manages several projects, and leads Integrated Product teams, responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of various components critical to ground, air, and space defense end items. Kevin’s portfolio includes several multi-million dollar programs of which he is responsible for on-time delivery commitments and the management of the budget and resources for each.
Kevin received his master’s degree in international relations from the University of Oklahoma and is on track to receive his Project Management Professionals Certification in June 2026. Kevin is married to his best friend, Amara, and has six children: Tyler, Kendall, Camryn, Cole, Chace, and Caden.
