Many of our Freedom Day USA teams also honor first responders (police, fire, and EMT) during their Freedom Day events. Because of those thank you messages, we have been inspired to develop the First Lunch program, a way to show appreciation during First Responder’s Week, being held in 2021 from May 10-14.
What is First Lunch?
Teaming up with local restaurants, businesses and dental teams across the USA are providing lunch to the first responders in their area as a thank you for their service and sacrifices.
This event takes place from May 10-14, 2021, and Freedom Day USA is challenging you to provide lunch to the police, fire, and EMT professionals in your community.
So what do you need to do to participate?
First Responder’s Week is May 10-14 so, in order to start getting ready, here’s what you need to do:
Decide how many lunches you and your team want to provide
Send to one station or 10. Treat one person or 50. It’s completely up to you!
Pick your restaurant
Reach out to a restaurant in your area to per-order your box lunches or catering items. Decide what day you want to deliver it (or schedule delivery) and iron out all the details.
Here’s a tip: We have had great success partnering with Chick-Fil-A in West Virginia. They have provided a discount and are helping with delivery. You may want to start with them, as they already have a box lunch on the menu.
Register your business/practice as a First Lunch participant
