WHAT ARE "TRANSFORMATIONAL PERSPECTIVES" AND HOW DO THEY IMPACT THE DENTIST AND DENTAL PRACTICE?
At Fortune Management’s recent Fortune50 meeting in Las Vegas, marketing thought leader Fred Joyal shared some thoughts with the audience on “transformational perspectives” and the impact they can have in the dental practice.
So what are “transformational perspectives?” Joyal explains that they are often ways that we not only keep ourselves from achieving more, but can also break free of those limiting thoughts if we change our mindset. That includes, in the dental practice, stopping the cycle of being unsure about talking to a patient about the cost of a procedure.
If you’ve ever been worried about asking patients for a higher price tag in order to give them the dentistry they need and/or have always dreamed of, this is the time to change your outlook, Joyal said. And Joyal is crystal clear about one point: It’s not about immediately doubling your price, but rather finding a comfort level for you and then building incrementally to reach your goals.
This business transformation also isn’t something that should fall squarely on the shoulders of the dentist. This is a good lesson for the practice’s treatment coordinator or anyone else who discusses finances and next steps with the patient.
