Born and raised in Reno NV, Brianne is returning “home” after a fun and successful 12 year hiatus living along the ocean on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. Brianne was raised from a young age to be a hard worker with her grandpa and father owning a furniture and hardware store for over 40 years. She learned the value of “hard work pays off” from an early age. When she wanted a candy bar from the hardware store, her father would tell her to find something to do in the store, and he would pay her for her time working. If she wanted to spend her money on a candy bar, then she could. When she wanted her first mountain bike, her parents made her save up for half of it before she could get one. They took her to a bank and opened up a savings account for her to begin saving. After a few months of working, she was able to save up for half of the bike and she went with her dad to get her brand new Diamond Back bike. #Earned may be a cliche hashtag thrown around by modern youth, but Brianne truly put in the effort to adopt this lifelong value of earning what you want.
While in Monterey, Brianne developed a broad skill set working for a world renown publishing company where impeccable organizational skills and creativity led to her being the preferred point of contact for the famed National Geographic Explorers. A transition into a local non-profit marketing firm further expanded career development and broadened her technical aptitude as she was primarily responsible for website design, maintenance and management. Additionally, coordinating the executive schedule of the CEO and seven other employee's honed her ability to manage small company environments.
With over 15 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, she decided after working for others that she could work for herself and subsequently created her own business helping other small business owners get the tools and resources they don’t have so they could focus on their own expertise. Using her talent with technology as well as harnessing her entrepreneurial spirit, Brianne founded Ember Creatives to build high-quality websites and branding management for small business owners. Originally a side-hustle for friends and family, this natural transition provides another outlet for creativity in a controlled manner where Brianne can manage the workflow to suit her schedule. While she was excited to start her business, she wasn’t yet ready to financially support herself with that alone. A friend and local veterinarian knew her skills and asked her to help run her animal hospital part time.
Animals have always been a huge passion and the opportunity to manage a busy clinic was a dream come true! The animal hospital was a client of Fortune and Brianne found she absolutely loved the teachings, tools and attending their training sessions. Working closely with the owner/doctor, Brianne was able to inspire the team to consistently hit sales goals and significantly increase the profitability of the company. In her off-work hours Brianne is a professional mountain biker who is passionate about getting more girls on bikes and into the sport of cycling. Well known within the cycling community, she has a proud history as one of the longest running volunteer coaches of the successful Salinas High School cycling team for the last 11 years. She is also a board member of SAVE the WHALES, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the ocean and its inhabitants.
Any chance she gets, she loves to go out on a boat in the Monterey Bay and look for whales. She is always looking to further her personal growth by listening to podcasts or reading books that will help her to continue to grow professionally and personally. If not helping and inspiring others, Brianne can be found making doggie-play-dates for her Boston Terrier, Carter Hall and spending time at Pyramid Lake with her family. The leadership roles she experienced and as a cycling coach have inspired Brianne to become involved with Fortune where she believes the culmination of these experiences will propel her into an amazing Executive Coach!
